About Erin Spielman, LMSW
Erin is an enthusiastic and passionate therapist offering both in-person and telehealth options. She has 25 years of experience helping clients and families successfully navigate life’s challenges. Erin is warm, open, encouraging, and direct. She combines her experience and education with a down-to-earth, realistic approach to counseling.
Erin earned her undergraduate degree in psychology and master’s degree in social work from ASU. She also earned her master’s in healthcare administration from Utica University. She is a licensed master’s social worker and certified case manager.
Erin has a diverse work history in both mental health and medical settings working with varied clientele. Erin works extensively with individuals and couples striving to adjust to life’s changes. She is very experienced in assisting clients to overcome emotional issues such as depression, anxiety, and fear.
In addition, Erin is skilled in helping clients change unwanted patterns of behavior, including habits and addictions. She holds a Trauma Treatment Certification and can assist clients in recovering from emotional wounds, including grief and loss.
Erin utilizes a variety of treatment methods including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) as well as Motivational, Psychodynamic, Person-Centered, Trauma-Focused, and Life Coaching modalities.
A personal note about Erin –
Erin has lived in the valley for over 40 years and has raised two wonderful children. She enjoys traveling and exploring our unique state, from finding unique artifacts in the desert to relaxing on the rivers and lakes.
Erin not only loves people, but she also loves animals. This includes dogs and cats, as well as rescued desert tortoises that she cares for in her backyard sanctuary. Being very creative, Erin also enjoys spending time on various artistic projects.
Erin has a burning passion to help people identify their higher goals and truly achieve them. She believes we do not need to settle for less than our heart’s desire. Erin would love to help you get there!

About Valerie Dawson, LCSW
Valerie is a compassionate client-centered therapist serving clients in the Phoenix, Scottsdale and Paradise Valley area. With over 20 years’ experience as a master’s level therapist, she is experienced in helping individuals and couples to navigate life’s challenges and move forward towards achieving their goals.
Valerie earned her undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Vermont and her master’s degree in clinical social work from Boston College. She is independently licensed by the state of Arizona as an LCSW.
She has extensive experience working in both outpatient and inpatient mental health settings as well as in a variety of medical settings. Valerie served as an Arizona State University field instructor for MSW students for several years.
She uses a variety of treatment modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, BrainWorking Recursive Therapy® (BWRT®), and sometimes Hypnotherapy to help clients achieve a new sense of well-being.
Valerie is very experienced in working with clients with emotional issues such as anxiety, depression, phobias, trauma and grief. She is also highly skilled in treating addictive behaviors, including smoking, overeating, substance abuse, and other unwanted habits.
Due to her advanced training in mind-body healing modalities, physicians work with Valerie collaboratively to help patients who have been struggling with medical challenges such as chronic pain, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), fibromyalgia, and insomnia.
In her work with couples, Valerie helps clients to address communication, infidelity and intimacy issues. She teaches couples the important skills they need to communicate better, resolve conflicts, and restore trust and intimacy.
On a personal note:
After obtaining my master’s degree in the northeast I traveled to Arizona on vacation, fell in love with the sunshine and moved to the Valley of the Sun. I enjoy spending time with my husband, friends and furry companion Annie. My interests include arts and crafts, walks in the desert, and trying new restaurants.
